This 6-hour group class is geared toward anyone who is interested in learning how to operate drones and consists of 2 parts: an in-class overview and outdoor drone flight instruction.
The in-class portion will cover:
· Basic principles of flying - Pitch and Roll, Thrust and Yaw
· Drone Maintenance (batteries, storage, etc.)
· Drone Calibrations
· Flight App Settings
· Camera Settings (Photo/Video)
· Using Third-Party Apps
· Creating Automated Flight Paths
· Safety in Operations: Pre and Post Flight Checklists, etc.
· Intelligent Flight Modes
The outdoor portion with guided hands-on experience:
· Pre-flight inspections, drone calibrations
· App settings and Battery monitoring techniques
· Take-offs and landings (manual and auto modes)
· Basic flight maneuvers (various patterns)
· Advanced flight maneuvers
· Using Intelligent flight modes
· Using Pre-planned Flights to Conduct a Mission
· Emergency maneuvers (return to home function, power-down while in flight, etc.)
Format: Group (max 5 students) 6-hour class (9 am - 4 pm with 1 hour for lunch)
